'Something Borrowed'

Setelah sekian lama ga pergi ke bioskop untuk nonton film akhirnya nemu juga satu film yang kelihatannya lumayan untuk ditonton :) Yup! judulnya 'something borrowed', sesuatu yang dipinjam. Jadi, sepanjang film saya terus menerka-nerka apa sih itu yang dipinjem :D Kalau ada yang belum pernah lihat filmnya, ini sekilas gambar posternya

Beberapa karakternya  adalah Ginnifer Goodwin yang jadi Rachel White, Kate Hudson yang jadi Darcy Rhone, John Krasinski yang jadi Ethan dan Colin Egglesfield yang jadi Dex Thaler.
Jadi, ceritanya film ini itu mengisahkan tentang persahabatan antara 2 perempuan yaitu Rachel dan Darcy. Mereka bersahabat dari kecil sehingga bisa dibilang mereka itu tidak terpisahkan. Rachel yang selalu mengalah dan Darcy yang selalu menang dengan caranya sendiri. Menang dalam segala hal, termasuk dalam hal laki-laki. Klise mungkin ceritanya, perempuan yang ngalah buat sahabatnya sendiri karena terlalu polos untuk bertindak di depan laki-laki dan laki-laki yang ga berani bertindak karena takut tidak mendapat respon yang diinginkan. Kalau menurut saya, Darcy itu orangnya ambisius. Dia bakal melakukan apa saja untuk mencapai goal nya dia, sekalipun itu akan mengorbankan perasaan Rachel. Tapi sebenernya Darcy bukannya tidak sensitif atau peka, tapi dia merasa tidak ada yang salah antara dia dan Dex karena dia tidak merebut Dex dari Rachel. Darcy lebih cuek dari Rachel, dia lebih senang pergi ke pesta dengan teman-temannya. Yah, saking cueknya Darcy ga bisa lihat apa yang salah antara Dex dan Rachel. Justru Ethan bisa lebih tahu dan ngedukung Rachel mati-matian buat maju dan ngungkapin perasaannya sebelum semuanya terlambat. Well, this a picture of Ethan

Dan diem-diem, ternyata Ethan juga punya rasa sama Rachel. Cuma karena Ethan tahu Rachel suka sama Dex jadi dia ga pernah ngomong tentang perasaan dia sama Rachel. Cuma disaat-saat terkahir Ethan ngomong sama Rachel gara-gara Rachel cerita kalo dia ga pernah jadi jadi orang pertama buat siapapun, dan disitulah Ethan ngomong.

The thing is kalau menurut saya dari segi cerita mungkin kelihatannya sedikit bertele-tele. Nasib Ethan selanjutnya juga ga diceritain lagi. Padahal sih saya lebih setuju Rachel sama Ethan. Rachel yang selalu suka sama Dex dari enam tahun yang lalu kelihatannya ga bisa move on sama sekali buat ngelihat ada seseorang yang lebih baik. Dia terperangkap dalam perasaan yang sama tanpa bisa ngeluarin perasaan itu. Sampai akhirnya dia bisa sama Dex dan bawain baju Dex dari laundry, baju yang dibeli darcy buat Dex. Isn't it pathetic? Dari sekian banyak laki-laki kenapa harus terus-terusan terikat sama orang yang ga bisa tegas sama dirinya sendiri. Mungkin itu yang namanya jodoh, kita ga pernah tahu. Tapi yang pasti setidaknya kita harus berusaha :)

Abstrak

Setelah sekian lama mikir-mikir apa yang mau ditulis untuk post kali ini, ternyata ga dapet-dapet juga idenya. Bingung mau nulis apa >.< 

Akhirnya kepikiran buat nulis ini...

Ada yang  bilang kalau kita masih sakit hati sama orang lain berarti kita masih punya sifat sombong dalam diri kita yang mana itu ga bagus. Dan ternyata kalau dipikir-pikir saya masih sering banget sakit hati sama orang lain, berarti saya sombong banget dong. Tapi kalau dipikir-pikir lagi, apa yang mau saya sombongin? Saya juga bukan siapa-siapa toh. Terus kenapa saya masih sakit hati? 

Bisa dibilang mungkin sakit hati itu suatu hal yang wajar, yang kebanyakan orang kurang lebih pernah ngerasain. Mungkin yang lebih penting itu bagaimana cara kita menyikapi sakit hati nya itu sendiri. Mau dilebih-lebihkan, mau dibiarkan saja, atau mau langsung seketika itu dimaafkan dan dilupakan. Tapi kayanya ga segampang itu kalau buat saya, langsung dimaafkan dan dilupakan. Bisa-bisa kalau gitu orang bisa seenaknya sama saya atau saya mau orangnya sadar dan minta maaf.

Yaah..semuanya balik lagi sama diri kita masing-masing. Sebagai seorang manusia tentunya saya pengen jadi lebih baik setiap waktunya. Kalau memang terlalu susah buat langsung memaafkan setidaknya melupakan saja dulu, seengganya saya tidak menyimpan dendam sama orang lain. Mungkin kalau nanti lain waktu ketemu lagi mudah-mudahan kita semua sudah menjadi manusia yang lebih baik lagi :)

Dag Dig Dug

ternyata jadi mc itu ga segampang yang aq bayangin ya. aq pikir mc mc yang ada di tv itu gampang banget bawain acara karena udah lama latihan dan udah jadi pekerjaan mereka. mereka tiap hari tinggal dateng pas acara mau mulai abis gitu langsung d on d camera...tapi ternyata, mc sekelas mereka juga tetep aja masih grogi dan tetep butuh persiapan yang g sedikit setiap harinya..nnahh..kebayang dunk aq gimana.... :0

awalnya emank aq diminta buat jadi mc di acara AECS(for further information see aecs_ ),,sebenernya agak ragu juga tuh buat bilang iya, masalahnya, aq juga ga yakin sama diri sendiri, kan kalo jadinya malah ngacauin kan bahaya tuh..tapi trus temen aq bilang, "tapi kan kamu pernah jadi mc d ESCW", nah, aq aja ga inget tuh,,he..karena ga enak buat nolak, soalnya pasti udah mepet juga, akhirnya aq bilang iya. untungnya ada training mc dulu tuh seminggu sekalinya, jadi aq juga ga terlalu takut kalo bakal terlalu mengacau nantinya. pas training juga sempet ada latihannya juga, trus dikasih tau kurang-kurangnya dimana. useful banget sih kalo kata aq, soalnya ternyata emank banyak banget yang musti dibenerin, so lots of thanx to T'Indah.... :)

pengennya aq sih bisa seideal yang t'indah bilang, tapi sayangnya ga bisa. ga jarang soalnya aq tiba-tiba diminta buat jadi mc beberapa menit sebelumnya, kan gila aja tuh, pengalaman pertama tapi langsung bikin kacau. reputasi aecs ini juga kan ada di tangan aq kalo gitu..

hari pertama jadi mc itu adalah hari selasa tanggal 16 juli 2009. aq sih udah mulai latihan dari malem sebelumnya, berusaha bisa kaya semua yang t'indah saranin. dateng udah dari 1 jam lebih sebelum acara dimulai, pake pakaian yang udah rapih dan cewe banget. tapi ternyata pagi-pagi sebelum berangkat, aq dapet sms buat jadi mc opening untuk pertama kalinya..waw!!! yang ada langsung deg-deg an tuh..gila aja, teks belum dibaca, balum latihan ma temen yang bakal jadi partner juga,,wah,,tegang d bener....

akhirnya pas beberapa menit sebelumnya aq bisa latihan dulu m temen aq buat opening. dan yang parahnya buat mc lombanya sendiri belum latihan gara-gara sibuk latihan jadi mc opening itu..hikhik..opening berlangsung lancar...tapi saking deg-deg annya, masa mc keluar lewat stage di depan..haha...

pas speech, akhirnya bisa berlangsung cukup lancar walaupun deg-deg annya masih baget-banget tuh..dan yang parahnya, kita kurang koordinasi sama koor lombanya, alhasil kita banyakan musti cuap-cuap ngisi waktu yang g jarang jadi mati gaya di depan panggung!!!!sebel banget d pokonya... :(

abis itu rabu opening lagi,,lebih lancar dunk pastinya...

kamis jadi mc lagi,,tapi kali ini, jauh lebih lancar dari sebelumnya,,dan pastinya lebih ok dunk... :) tapi ternyata emank bener, grogi itu pasti terus ada,cuma gimana kita ngadepinnya aja. jumatnya, aq diminta dadakan jadi mc,,sempet g pede juga c,soalnya ga pede ama penampilan yang emank g disiapin buat jadi mc...untungnya tetep lancar..tapi siangnya, pas lagi beli makan, diminta jadi mc,,what!!!!akhirnya buat yang saat itu, kurang berjalan sempurna,,hikhik..maaf y teman,,but i wasn't in the mood @ all.... :(

overall,,those experiences gave me such a great worth value on my life..

so,,buat yang butuh mc,,bisa lho...he...

English Day 2009

maksudnya hari berbahasa Inggris gitu?mmm,,bukan juga siih..

jadi gini nih,,aq kan kuliah di UPI ambil yang prodi sastra dan bahasa Inggrisnya, bukan yang pendidikan bahasa Inggris...kalo yang prodi pendidikan bahasa dan sastra inggris kan udah pasti dijurusin buat jadi guru nantinya, sedangkan untuk prodi aq yang bisa dibilang masih baru, masih luas banget untuk prospek ke depannya. nah saking luasnya banyak yang bertanya-tanya mau jadi apa nantinya,,nah, mungkin anak SMA yang mau pada kuliah juga ikut bertanya tanya kaya gitu, akhirnya kita dari prodi sastra bikin acara open house ini yang bertujuan mengenalkan prodi ini sama masyarakat lebih luas dan menjelaskan prospek kedepannya juga.

buat acara ini, aq ikutan jadi koor sekre di kepanitiannya..lumayan juga sieh,,secara aq kan belum pernah jadi sekre atau ngurusin kegiatan yang berbau sekre-sekrenya...jadi awalnya emank rada bingung,,untungnya banyak yang bantu juga..seneng sieh walupun cape, aq bisa belajar lebih juga dari sini soalnya.. :)

nah,,betenya,,pas hari H,,aq malah telat dateng k kampusnya,,padahal banyak yang musti dikerjain,,hikhik..jadi sempet kacau juga sieh...untungnya semua dapat ditangani dengan baik...hehe...

sayangnya pas acara berlangsung, aq sibuk berkutat m kesekreannya,,jadi g sempet masuk auditorium buat ngeliat anak-anak SMA nya... :(

persiapannya sendiri kalo menurut aq sieh udah lumayan lah,,secara waktu yang kita punya juga g banyak, tapi bisa sampe sejauh itu,,jadi acara yang pertama juga...salut deh buat semuanya... :)

jadi ya mudah-mudahan English Day yang selanjutnya bisa lebih fun dan better terus dan terus... :)

Zombie Diaries

Three compelling video diaries chart the early days of the plague, right trough the last days of the apocalypse.

This is independent movie showed in the iNAFF 08 (Indonesia International Fantastic Film Festival). I think it is not a good horror movie. First time it began, I do not see the clear start and it still blur until it ends. The way the director taking a picture is not good, because it taken by a handy cam maybe to be looked as natural but the picture is move up and down and it confuse to see that picture. Beside the plot that not clear at all. There is no ghost maybe it more like psychopath film. And when the player talking I can not hear it clearly.

“When you can live forever, what do you live for” that is the quote of Twilight movie. The movie that has a theme love is blind tells about a vampire that fall in love with human. Cullen family is a vampire family that has been lived since 1918 until now. They do not grow older and they can live forever as a vampire of course. The children go to same school as human but they do not play with the other children and they do not school if it is sunny day, because their skin will change. Bella Swan is a new student in that school because she moves to her father house. And in that school Bella meet Edward Cullen, the vampire. Bella find that there is something strange with Edward, but she does not what. Until she knows that Edward is a vampire. Bella tells Edward that she does not afraid of him, she just afraid that she will loose him. Since that they both become very close, Edward always protects her. But the problem comes. There is another vampire that wanting Bella so much. So the whole family of Cullen does everything to protect her and her family. But obviously, Bella has to go to rescue her mother by herself which is she has to sacrifice her life. But fortunately Edward comes to safe her, and his family come to kill the vampire that want to kill Bella. In the end, Bella asks Edward to bite her so that she can live forever too and become a vampire, but Edward do not think that it is the right decision. Bella does not give up for that.

I like this movie so much, besides the story that interesting and different from the common drama movie, the actors and the actress are also attractive for me. The climax itself is in the almost end of the movie, so at first it seems plain and no climax. But I do not bother with that because I really enjoy the film. For me, it is like super hero film, but the hero here also dangerous. I do not read the novel so I do not know what the missing scene, but so far I can get what the movie is about.

As a cub, Alex the lion was called Alekey and was the son of Zuba (Bernie Mac), the alpha lion. Though Zuba tries to teach Alekey to be a hunter, the cub is more interested in dancing. When another lion named Makunga (Alec Baldwin) challenges Zuba to a fight for the position of alpha lion, Alekey is captured by poachers. Though Zuba tries to rescue his son, Alekey is forced into a crate. The crate falls into the ocean where it drifts to New York. There, Alekey is renamed Alex and sent to the Central Park Zoo where he grew up, meeting Gloria, Marty, and Melman there.

In the present time, Alex (Ben Stiller), Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith), Melman (David Schwimmer), Marty (Chris Rock), the chimpanzees, King Julien, Maurice, and the penguins have fixed a crashed plane in the hopes of using it to fly back to New York (Mort manages to tag along as well, by clinging to the airplane wing). Though the plane does fly, it ends up crash-landing in Africa because of lack of fuel.

In Africa, the animals are amazed to find more of their kind. Alex is reunited with Zuba and his mother Florrie (Sherri Shephard). Marty quickly fits into a herd of zebra who all look, sound, and talk exactly like him. Melman takes on the position of Witch Doctor amongst the animals after discovering that sick giraffes have no other option but to die otherwise. Gloria, interested in finding a boyfriend, attracts the attention of a hippo named Moto Moto (Will.i.Am).

Meanwhile, the penguins set about repairing the plane. They carjack several jeeps from New Yorkers on vacation (under "Operation Tourist Trap"), leaving the tourists stranded and lost in the jungle. A tough old woman called "Nana" (who had previously attacked Alex in a subway station in Madagascar) takes charge, reminding them that they are New Yorkers and always survive.

Unfortunately, life in Africa is not as wonderful as it first seems. Makunga, still determined to take the position of alpha lion, reminds Zuba that Alex must complete a traditional lion coming-of-age challenge. Alex, thinking that the challenge is a dance contest (it is actually a fight) competes against the strongest lion and loses quickly. To avoid being forced to banish Alex for failing, Zuba abdicates and Makunga immediately takes the position and banishes Alex and his family. Marty meanwhile begins to feel upset that all of the zebra are exactly the same as him, leaving him with nothing unique. Even Alex is unable to tell the difference between Marty and a different zebra, leaving Marty hurt. Melman is happy in his position as Witch Doctor until another giraffe tells him that he has a brown spot on his shoulder. Melman is initially not bothered (as he has brown spots all over his body), until he learns that the previous Witch Doctor apparently died two days after the "spot" appeared. Melman is also upset about Gloria dating Moto Moto, as Melman has secretly loved her for a long time. Gloria goes on a date with Moto Moto and quickly realizes that he only loves her for her body.

The next day, the animals are in a panic when they discover that the watering hole has dried up. Determined to make up for his earlier failure, Alex decides to risk being shot by hunters and leave the Reserve to discover what happened. Along the way, he makes amends with Marty by being able to pick his friend out of the herd of zebras. The pair discover that the stranded New Yorkers, under the instruction of Nana, have dammed up the river and built a primitive civillization. Alex is captured and Marty runs for help. Meanwhile, Zuba hears what Alex did and goes to rescue him.

King Julien suggests that the animals sacrifice one of themselves into the volcano to appease the water gods and regain their water supply. Believing that he will die soon, Melman volunteers to be the sacrifice. Gloria stops him just in time and Marty arives to tell them of Alex's fate. The trio, the penguins, and a hord of chimpanzees use the newly-fixed plane to come to the rescue. Alex meanwhile manages to rescue both himself and his father by dancing for the New Yorkers, who quickly recognize him from the zoo. Zuba joins in as well. The other animals rescue the lions with the plane and destroy the dam, freeing the water. At the volcano, Mort arrives (he had fallen from the plane into the ocean). He was pursued the entire way from the beach by a shark, which falls into the lava just before the water returns.

Alex manages to remove Makunga from power by tricking Nana into attacking him. One of the penguins marries a bobble-head hula doll from the plane and leaves on a honeymoon, leaving the other animals to remain in Africa.

This film is absolutely fun I think. It is not for children only but I as adult can enjoy watching it because it can refresh my mind. It is also not kind of heavy film so I can just relax while watching it and laughing of course. The characters are unique, because they just different from the real characters. Such as a lion who likes dancing and a giraffe who fall in love with rhinoceros, also a penguin who married a doll. But just like children’s film in common, it always has a happy ending. That film has a short duration compare with others film, the duration less than 2 hours. But it dos not matter because everyone happy with the film.
