Sang Pemimpi is a great work. In this novel, Andrea focuses on Arai and Ikal. Ikal is one of Laskar Pelangi’s member and has been told in the first book which is Laskar Pelangi meanwhile Arai is Ikal’s relative from his grandmother. And because Arai is the last generation from his family and it is called simpai keramat also he is still a kid, so Ikal’s father takes him to live with his family and to be took care of. From the very first time Arai meet Ikal, he always looks happy, quite the contrary with Arai’s condition actually. His father has just passed away, but he never looks sad in front of Ikal or his family. Arai is so stiff. He shows ikal his toys and let him to play it. Arai always protect Ikal from anything. He also always help Ikal, he fix Ikal’s stuff if broken. He just likes an angel in Ikal’s life. That is why they always stay together. They go to the same school in senior high and even the same university in France although they have a different way to reach it.

In my opinion, this book is amazing. I can not help to not cry when reading this book. This book makes me believe in love, dream’s power and sacrifice. More over makes me believe in God. I love the words that Arai said, he says, “bermimpilah karena Tuhan akan memeluk mimpi-mimpi itu”. It just likes give me a strong power to have a dream, to be brave to have a dream. Arai also say that he do not have anything but dream, so he dream as high as he can. And that dream that give him a power to reach it.

The words that Andrea chose to tell the story is exact. It simply but strong, it has a power in it. And I also like the way he told a story in this novel. First time I read, there seems like nothing special, but more I read more I love the story and I can not stop reading it. It seems real and I can picture them in my mind clearly.
