This novel tells about how a little orphan boy struggled with his life. He ran away from where he lived before to find a better life. Unfortunately, he had to deal with many difficulties first. He fell into a gang of robbery, got shot in his arm, loosing his kind helper are some of obstacles that he must went trough. Until eventually he could get happiness in the end of story.

In my opinion, this novel has a good story with a message that the happiness will come in the end for a good people. What I like from this novel is the character of Oliver Twist itself. He never gives up finding his happiness although he has to face many problems, he never beef about his bad destiny and he also a strong boy. I love Nancy’s character too, unfortunately because her carelessness when told information, she has to take a big risk of it. She died. But in my opinion, Nancy should be smart enough to find a way so that she can escape from the gang and meet with Oliver. Unfortunately, in this novel the story about Nancy just until she got killed by Bill Sikes. So, for some good character there is no happy ending. Maybe because this novel is for children, so Oliver better to have no idea where Nancy is than he got another sad.
